The idea to make this film came when I saw an advertisement for the first ever
Ten Second Film competition. I said to myself, “How the hell can you make a
movie in ten seconds? It’s impossible. Can’t be done. I’m gonna do it.”
The prank in this film is something I started doing in high school, when I was
riding in the back seat of my buddy’s car, and it was perfect for the ten
second film format. All three actors are friends of mine from college.
Sara’s performance is fantastic. I love it! And if you pay close attention, you'll notice
that this film has a three-act structure, even though it's only ten seconds long.
This film was a Finalist in the 2003 Ten Second Films Contest. It appears at
www.tensecondfilms.com under the alternate title, “Red Light.”
